Whether or not the bill gets a public hearing and vote to move on to an Assembly floor vote depends on Assemblyman Joseph Egan (D-17, New Brunswick). Asw. Linda Greenstein reintroduced the bill in the 2008-2009 legislative session. It was numbered A1551 and was assigned to the Assembly Labor Committee.
Two Assemblywomen, Asw. Sheila Oliver and Asw. Valerie Vanieri-Huttle joined Asw. Greenstein as Primary Sponsors, and 13 Assemblymen and Assemblywomen joined as Cosponsors. The New Jersey Healthy Workplace bill was not brought to a vote in the 2008-2008 session.
2006-2007
Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein introduced "The Healthy Workplace Act" in the NJ Assembly. The bill, numbered A3590, was not heard in committee.
