    Maryland is the 20th state to introduce the Healthy Workplace Bill


  • On March 3, several brave individuals testified in favor of SB 600 in a public hearing in the Senate Finance Committee.

  • Congratulations to the group of citizen lobbyists who gave a complete portrayal of the HWB. Attorneys described calmly how the bill is necessary. Bullied targets told their emotional stories demonstrating that bullying rips apart real lives.

  • On Feb. 4, 2011 Senate bill SB 600 was introduced
  • The prime sponsor is Sen. Jamie Raskin. Co-sponsors are Senators Delores Kelley, Richard Madaleno and Norman Stone.
  • This version of the Healthy Workplace Bill protects employees in both government and private sector jobs.
  • Read the text of the bill.
  • SB 600 was referred to the Finance Committee chaired by Sen. Thomas Middleton. Use our E-Z mailer to contact him to urge passage at the March 3 scheduled public hearing for the bill.
